We are looking to appoint a new Director to our dynamic Board.

HAIL, an Approved Housing Body, provides social housing primarily for those with mental health difficulties. We also provide tenancy sustainment support to assist our tenants and clients to live independent lives in the community.

Although our Head Office is in Dublin, we provide homes and services across the country. We currently have over 470 homes and in 2023 we supported 586 people with mental health difficulties. We have a team of 48 staff and 22 peer support volunteers.

Our Board has a wide range of skills and ensures the highest quality standards of governance. We are looking to strengthen this experience by appointing someone with senior financial experience, preferably gained in the housing or charity sectors. They will bring that experience to support us in providing more homes and support services for our tenants and clients.

In addition, to being on the Board we would like this role to Chair the Finance Committee that reports to the Board.

The Board meets approx. 5 times per year (a mix of online and in person meetings, the latter in Dublin) and the Finance Committee also meets 5 times per year online.
